Nourishing Lives, Building Futures
“Voice of Slum’s new shelter aims to welcome 100 children with open arms, providing them not just with meals and shelter, but with the foundation for a brighter future. Unlike their current abode, plagued by poor amenities and limited access, this new sanctuary will be a beacon of hope, conveniently located and fully equipped to nurture these young souls. We know the road ahead is tough. The bills pile up, the funds run dry. But with you by our side, we can offer these children more than just a roof over their heads. We can give them the love, the care, they need to thrive and grow.” – Chandni
Voice of Slum has served over 22 lakh meals to slum kids so far and aim to continue giving them nutritious meals so that they don’t go to bed hungry ever again. Chandni and Dev’s own tough experiences inspired them to create Voice of Slum and the hardships they faced fuelled their determination to prevent other children from going through the same struggles.
“In the heart of a bustling slum, a young girl named Chandni, affectionately known as Chandni Di, navigated the toughest challenges life could offer. From dancing in street performances with her father to scavenging through garbage piles, and enduring the humiliation of false accusations, she bore the weight of poverty’s cruel burden. Yet, amidst the adversity, Chandni held onto a flicker of hope.
I found my purpose amidst the chaos – to be a beacon of light for slum children, no matter the odds.” – Chandni
Thanks to VoS, 825 children completed the Bridge course, 315 are presently enrolled in formal schools, and over 22 lakh nutritious meals have been served. This year, our goal is to provide monthly nutritious meals to 1,000 slum kids at 1,200 INR per child.
You can become a part of this impactful journey by supporting Feed The Slum. Your contribution will not only provide nutritious meals but also ignite hope in urban slum children.
“Every donation, no matter the size, creates a profound impact.” – Chandni
“At Voice of Slum, our focus lies on education, offering free classes for 1.5 years to prepare children for mainstream schooling. We pave the way towards a brighter future.”
